I want to really expand the wildlife and birds in my backyard. I'm thinking of sectioning off an area of my backyard(its semi-wooded) and adding more plants and bird feeders. Any suggestions?

Birds need the following things:
A place for food
Water
cover or shelter(shrubs, bushes, trees, etc...)
Its always best to stick with native plant species because thats what the birds are used to. There are many types of bird feeders you can add. Any shrub or plants with fruits or berries would be good too. You can add a bird bath or fountain to your nature area too.
Hope that helps

Adding a fountain or water feature would increase the amount of birds

Thanks for the link. I'd like to attract more birds to my yard too. I think my kids would really enjoy birdwatching from the window.
