I live in the Sierras, 5000 altitude, 4 to 5 feet of snow accumulation.
I have a meadow outside out bedrooms and guest bathroom that is weeds and dirt...(just starting on the landscaping, bought the house, and had to work on the inside to be able to live, first!).
Dogwoods surrounds in addition to California Redwoods and Cedars the meadow; however, this specific area is an eye sore. I have been afraid to plant anything because our leach lines run under the area. Is there something that I can plant that grows relatively fast, pretty- hands color, low maintenance and can survive the weather conditions? Per our weather station, lowest temp has been 19 degrees and highest is 92. The area receives full sun.
Any suggestions besides that I am asking for the perfect plant...
