I'm Darleen, 24, from England, UK, and in need of a few ideas when it comes to gardening. I always have big plans, but never manage to actually get them done. I see lovely gardens on TV and think 'I'd like that', but wouldn't have a clue how to put 'that' into my garden, so I'm hoping some of you nice people will help me out a bit.

Hello, I'm Kevin, a big lover of landscaping. Thought I'd join this forum to share a bit of wisdom, and maybe pick up a few tips myself. Look forward to chatting to you all :)

Hi, I am Viola. I love to garden and I am constantly learning new things. I am learning the challenges of gardening in Wyoming. When I talk about gardening I mean all aspects including landscaping. I really like the ideas and pictures on this site.

My husband and I are in Oregon so deal with constant rain in winter, and a few slugs for good measure. Are planning to redo the front yard with hydrangeas (love them!) and totally redo the back with a deck, maybe repave or retile or rebrick over the cement patio, and then have lots of yard to make dog friendly (we have 2 labs).

I am 41 in work in an office all week long, so my weekends are definitely outside!!!! My husband and I bought an old farmhouse built by the farmer, himself from the wood he cut down to make our meadow, about 60 years ago in the Sierra Mountains in California. We are at the 5000 level. Need to say, we are surrounded by 200+ foot tall California Redwoods and my house is in the middle of a small meadow. I do not want to tailor the woods or the meadow, but I do have a problematic area in the front of the house. Hard dirt and rock (pea gravel or road filler or something like that - ugly and dusty)... I would like to make my home/landscaping have an Irish Cottage feel about it upon driving into the property... So, any suggestions and help and/or guidance would be wonderful.

I look forward to speaking to anyone that loves landscaping as I do...yippee!! My husband is amazed how excited I can get over a seedling.. So far, I have planted 23 California Seqouia Redwoods, 4 apples, 1 nectarine, 2 grape mrtyles, 10 japanese maples, and 1 blue spruce and I have not even made a dent on the property... I figured get the trees in a quickly as possible.

Hi there. I'm Wilson. I'm 37. My wife and I just moved to North Carolina from New York. We just moved into our house a few months ago and are looking for some landscape ideas. The previous owners really took care of the inside of the house but kind of neglected the outside. Its not run down looking by any means. It just needs better curb appeal. I'm hoping to find some good ideas form this site.

Hello there. My name is Amanda. I'm a homemaker from Long Island. I found this website while searching the net for landscape ideas. We want to sell our house next summer so we're hoping to get some ideas to improve the landscaping. Right now its a little dull. It definitely needs more color. The real estate market here is so competitive that we really want to make that extra effort to wow potential buyers. You know what they say,"You never get a second chance to make a first impression."
