Mexican courtyard style

We have a new house with NO landscaping, Starting with an open canvas.
What we would like to do is a courtyard idea with alot of privacy. The back yard is approx 30' out from the house and 100 ft. across. We would like to use most of that for this courtyard. We would like to include a fountain and maybe a pond, firepit. Any ideas as I don't really know where to start and I am getting ideas.

The first ideal of a Mexican garden to remember is that it is a living space, so with that in mind, people are at the core of every design.
In a Mexican courtyard garden, you might find the essential amounts to an outdoor room. There may be fountains and comfortable seating, lush flora and shade from the sun. you might want to consider a space for cooking as well as a space for dining. That would be very passionate having the quality time with your family :)

Yes, that sums up what I am visualizing! I just need to figure out how to put it all together. We have a large family, siblings, parents, kids total and now grandchildren coming and we like to get together. We plan on using our space alot and want it to be private and cozy.
