I feel very guilty about this

I'm breaking down and getting an exterminator. My house in and around it on the outside seems to be overrun by spiders. I'm getting too worried about black widows and the like entering my home via the garage.

Regular spiders don't bother me but I can see why you'd be worried about the poisonous ones.

Don't feel bad. Every year we need to call an exterminator out to our house for some type of problem. I've not had any trouble with spiders, mostly we've had ant problems.

I changed my mind on using an exterminator. I bought some spray myself and just plan to spray the perimeter of my house as well as my garage.

I had called afew companies but most of them wanted me to sign a yearly contract which I didn't want to do. One company even quoted me $475 for the year with quarterly spraying. That's too much money(in my opinion)

Wow that is a lot of money. Plus I'm not sure if it's necessary to spray quarterly if you don't have a bug problem. To me it only makes sense to spray when you're currently having an infestation. I would think that spraying all other times may increase your chance of the bugs building a resistance to the pesticide.
