Sunflowers

Does anyone have any sunflowers planted in their yard? I'm thinking of adding some on the side of my yard. Are they easy to care for?

I have not planted any myself but I have a friend who planted a row of them along her yard and they looked beautiful. They got quite tall but as far as I know, they were easy to plant and maintain. They are so cheery looking. It does brighten up a yard.

I think sunflowers are very easy to grow, even for inexperienced gardeners.
