Difficult to find someone reliable

My mother has been using the same landscape compnay for at least the past 5 years. They are so unreliable. I don't know why she still deals with them. They come every week to cut the lawn but they never do what she asks. She has wanted them to reshape some of her hedges as well as take care of a tree that's not in such great shape. They never get the work done. My mom is quite elderly and just can't do the work herself. She has tryed calling the owner several times and she just leaves a message. I've even attempted to call on her behalf.

Has anyone else had trouble with unreliable service or unprofessional people?

In the past I have had some problems. I take care of my own lawn these days. I think the best way to find a landscape company is by word of mouth or on recommendation from someone you know.

The guy who owns the company has finally returned her calls. He actually came over to take a look at the things she was concerned about. Hopefully from here on in, he and his company do a good job for her.

She told him flat out she would not be paying any portion of her bill unless he does the job to her satisfaction. I'm very proud of her for sticking up for herself and really pressuring him.
