This weekend I plan on visiting one of the local nurseries here. I need ideas from a professional on what to do with the area around my mailbox. there is a plant there currently. But, it was probably put there by the original builder. It has no color to it and it just looks drab. I've been scoping my neighborhood for ideas but I've noticed that some people have plantings around their mailbox that are already dead. I think I'd like to mix some plants with some rocks.

Good idea to speak to a professional. I find I have better luck asking a professional at a nursery or garden center rather than someplace like Lowe's or Home Depot.
I hope your project turns out well. Post a pic of the before and after.

What a fun project. It's a small enough space that you'll get a nice design but you won't feel overwhelmed.
Good luck!
