Getting kids involved

I wanted to know what your experience is with getting kids involved in landscaping projects or gardening.

Our kids are too young at this point to help. Maybe in the future they can help with certain projects. I'd like for them to get an appreciation for the outdoors and to take part in planting a vegetable garden

I find that kids really enjoy gardening and planting many things. They usually enjoy the digging part the best, followed by planting the seeds. I remember helping my parents garden. We had fun getting all dirty.
