Get Paid To Take Landscaping Pictures!

Do you have "prize winning" landscape at your home?

Do you enjoy taking photos of beautiful home landscaping?

If so, you can GET PAID for submitting your pictures on Landscaping Ideas Online's Visitor Picture Section!
We are looking for pictures of the following objects...

- Retaining Walls - Ponds - Fences
- Swimming Pools - Flowerbeds - Walkways/Paths
- Fountains - Patios - Landscape Lighting (night)
- Yard Waterfalls - Decks - Benches
- Swings - Trees - Shrubs
- Unique Mailboxes - Light Posts - Rocks/Stones
- Beautiful Lawns

Here is how you can earn money for your pictures:

Here's how it works...

Every month, we are giving away TWO cash prizes for the best landscape designs submitted to our website.

On the last day of every month at 5pm eastern, we'll calculate the top two pictures using the following formula:

(# of votes X current average vote rating) = Total Points
So, for example, if you upload a picture and it gets 15 votes with an average of the votes being 4.7, your total score would be 70.5.

1st place wins - $150

2nd place win - $50

Note - In case of an exact tie, both first place and second place will win $100 each instead.

Then, starting the 1st day of the next month, the number of votes for all images on the site will be reset to zero and the contest starts again. That means, your picture could win again next month, so start uploading as many pictures as you can today!

Of course, we do have a few simple rules...

  1. The pictures you submit MUST be your own photos taken BY YOU, or taken of YOUR OWN HOME (no stealing pictures from other websites and submitting them as your own).

  2. You can submit as many pictures as you want. For example, if you submit 400 pictures, you will greatly increase your chances of winning the monthly contest over just submitting one photo.

  3. Pictures must be less than 1MB in size, and preferably around 800 x 600 pixels in size. This will help keep the downloads of your pictures fast, thus resulting in more votes of your image.

  4. Users are only allowed to vote one time per month, per picture, per person (tracked by IP address).

  5. By registering as a photographer, you must agree to the independent contractor agreement found here.

To get started, follow these easy steps...

First, get registered with the picture submission section by clicking here (link opens in new window).

Next, check your email for a message from "Landscaping Ideas" with the email addresss of webventurer@gmail.com. You must click the link in that email to activate your account and submit your first picture.

Once you click the activation link in the email, you can login to your account by going to this page (link opens in new window).

After you are logged in, you will see a link on the left hand side of the screen that says "Upload File". Click that link and you'll be taken to a page where you can browse your computer to find your picture to upload. You can upload as many pictures as you want to be included in the contest.

Once you upload your picture, you will be taken to a page to categorize your photo. If you fail to do this, your picture will not be added to the site, so make sure you fill out the form on this page completely as follows.

You will need to choose an album to place the picture in (pick the one that is closest to the main theme of your picture the best you can). Also, enter a file title (this is a short description of your picture that will be displayed below your photo in the gallery). File description is optional if you want to include more details about your picture. Finally enter some keywords about your picture. These will help people find your picture, thus possibly getting you more votes. Keywords MUST BE related to your picture. If you enter keywords not related to your picture, your photo will be deleted and you will be permanently banned from the contest. Keywords can be entered separated by a space for single keywords. If your keyword has multiple words, use the underscore ( _ ) symbol between the keywords.

Keywords Example (for a blue fish mailbox photo). Your keywords may look something like this:

mailbox mail_box fish_mailbox blue_mailbox mail

Notice how there is a space between different keywords, and an underscore between keywords that have multiple words.

When you are finished, press continue. At this point, your photo will be placed in queue for admin approval. This is where we review your photo to make sure it meets our guidelines. If so, it will be approved and added to the site. If not, we'll try to edit your photo classifications to be accepted if possible. If we are unable to do so, the photo will be deleted from the site. We reserve the right to reject any photo that is submitted for any reason (although it is not very likely to happen, usually only if they are not relevant to landscaping or don't fit into one of our categories).

That's all there is to is. If your photo wins one of the monthly contests, we will send you an email to get your contact details to send your prize.

The first photo contest begins in November 2006, so start uploading your pictures right away. The sooner you add your photos, the longer they will be on the site and the more votes they can get.

The winners of each month's competition will be posted on this page:

Good luck!
